When you create an account or register for the event, we collect the information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, city and state, emergency contact, shirt size, and competition division. When you make a payment, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your card details — we never see or store your full card number.

We also automatically collect limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, which helps us keep the site secure and improve the athlete experience.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your registration and payment, and confirm your spot in the competition.
• Communicate event details, schedule changes, results, and important safety information.
• Prepare athlete swag, heat assignments, and on-site logistics.
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
• Protect against fraud and keep our platform secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the event — such as Stripe for payments and our hosting and email providers — and only to the extent needed to deliver those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of participants.

We retain registration records for as long as needed to administer the event and meet legal and accounting obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and secure password handling, to protect your data. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information at every step.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us. You can also opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message; transactional emails about your registration will still be sent.
